And what better time to pompously quote an obscure Shakespearean comedy on the eve of the eve of battle. If I know Jim Tressel, and I don't, he's likely shying away from grandiose tactics like citing scribes or delivering ill-advised motivational stump speeches loosely based off that stirring "Peace by Inches" monologue from Any Given Sunday.

But while it's doubtful the team needs anything else to get mentally prepared for the biggest game of the season, there's no better time to be an OSU fan who enjoys his Buck-literature en masse.

• If you haven't noticed, there's a prominate Championship Game "storyline," as they say in the biz. Stew Mandal's take.
  

• ESPN catches wind of the "Take Home Talk" DVD, which has now reached celebrity sex-tape status.
  

• Beanie Wells gets some much deserved ink. Anyone who's been watching the BCS on FOX is fully aware that Wells is the current face of OSU, taking the reins from James Laurinaitis.

• The Boeckman-Krenzel comparisons continue. Good if you're superstitious, bad if you're of the belief that lightning doesn't strike the same soft-spoken, clunky pocket passer twice.

• No link necessary, but if you don't have a whole lot going on today or are socially paralyzed from Monday-related anxiety, there's a couple mildly-entertaining, college football-related games on today. These high school All-America games, the famed Army All-America Bowl is clearly the more prestigious of the two, features a hand full of future Buckeyes as well as he who shall not be named, T.P. Said super-freak QB is causing many college football discussion boards to implode today with speculation of whether he'll do a surprise announcement or even wink at the camera in a way that might suggest he'll choose Ohio St.

• Dennis Dodd continues to have SEC bias, the face of a high school biology professor.

• To quote that disgruntled woman from the Burger King "No Whopper on the menu" commercial, "You've got to be kidding me."

• This guy can't even write and he knows OSU is the superior team.

• Keep checking back for updates, links, unprovoked pop culture references all weekend...

Sweeney Todd

Johnny Depp he is not, but this season Todd Boeckman earned a reputation as a quiet force and looked damn smooth in doing so.

Until the last two games, that is. Amassing 4 INTS and only 20 completions in 8 quarters of play, Boecks looked more like the bumbling Ed Wood than the swashbuckling Jack Sparrow. Pat Forde goes so far as to cite Boeckman's recent slide as a potential scapegoat if things turn sour in New Orleans.

Don't point fingers just yet though, Tressel and QB #1 have been doing some tape study and if Boeckman can harness the deep ball again, the Demon Arm of Bourbon St. will be open for business come Jan. 7.
